My name is Tonia Bennett…I am 47 years old and a Mom of three boys. I competed in my first figure competition in Oct of 2011. I competed the following year at The Battle of the River. I met Clint Norris shortly thereafter through a mutual friend. He was able to critique my diet and strength training regimen, which took me to a new level in my training. I competed a year later at The Battle of the River and won first in class and my first overall. Clint encouraged me to compete on a national level. I went to the North Americans two months later and won third place in Masters. Needless to say, his knowledge took me to a national level, and I am so grateful.

I am 49 years old and have been strength training for 31 years. I knew very little about nutrition and the whole aspect of cardio. I decided to enter my first contest at the knox classic in 2011(junior division). I won first place in heavyweivht and overall. I additionally won 1st place in masters (age 40-49) and overall in that class. Clint knows this business like no other…period. He evaluates your body type and knows EXACTLY what it takes in order to achieve his, and most importantly YOUR, personal goal. His timing of nutrition and cardio is simply unsurpassable. How he knows what your gonna look like in a month is almost unbelievable. I have met a few personal trainers along this road and everyones first statement when I tell them Clint is my trainer is “hes so knowledgeable” or “I learn things from his posts myself.” If you are seriously looking for someone to hold you accountable and give you advice that will make a real difference there is no other……period……..

2012 was a year of reckoning for me. I decided that I was tired of being sick and tired. I was tired of making excuses for being a size 16, weighing 205lbs , and having over 38% body fat. It was time for me to do something about it. After trying several crash diets and weight-loss drugs with the only lasting change being rebound weight-gain, I decided to pursue a life style change rather than a diet or a quick fix drug. In July of 2012, I began working with an online trainer who put me on a diet that was designed to carefully monitor macronutrients. Using that diet, I lost my first 25lbs. This was a great start for me but I knew I needed more.

In February of 2013, I hired Clint Norris of “Norris Bodyz” to be my personal trainer. I wasn’t sure what to expect or how my body would respond. At 37 years old, I was terrified. After all, I was new to the gym and I had never done strength training in my life. In as little as 2 months, my body had already begun to respond to the training and dieting. I went from a size 12 to a size 6. In 6 months, my body composition had completely transformed. I gained13lbs of muscle and was wearing a size 4.

By August of 2013, I felt comfortable enough in the gym to simply ‘follow the paper’. I continued implementing his workout plan and diet and continued to see results. As of May 2014, I am in a size 0, with 15% body fat. I am 39 years old and in better shape than I was 20 years ago! Norris Bodyz training changed my life and I am sure it will change yours as well!

My relationship with Clint Norris as a fitness coach has exceeded BEYOND all my expectations. Never in my life have I met someone more intelligent not only in the fitness industry but in all aspects of life. To be a GOOD leader, you can’t just point your finger and demand instructions. That’s what I love most about working with Clint. He knows first hand what it’s like to be in our shoes. He doesn’t only “talk the talk” but he “walks the walk.” He leads his team by example. I started working with Clint and Norris bodyz in April of 2013. I have always been a competitive person but lacked some essential knowledge to feel comfortable entering a bodybuilding show without some guidance. I met Clint and instantly knew he was the guy! Clint not only had the knowledge, but also knew the science to back it up. I started training with Clint 2 times a week and my results came quickly. I entered 2013 Music City Muscle and took 3rd place in my class. Flash forward to the Tn State Championship bodybuilding show in 2014, and I took an overall win for emergency services and 2nd place in my open class. Clint has inspired me to live a healthy and fit lifestyle and the results speak for themselves. I’ve trained for years. I cared mostly about being the strongest that I could be, never paying much attention to the nutrition side of it. Several years ago my brother finally convinced me to add a healthy nutrition regimen to my training. I initially was resistant to this concept especially when I heard words like “meal prepping”. My resistance became greater when I heard the cursed word “cardio”. Me…..cardio, I don’t think so. I only run when someone big is chasing me. After a few weeks I realized that it wasn’t nearly as hard as one might think. Meal prepping became second nature quickly. He got me in a target heart zone during cardio, which was merely a brisk walk. I never RAN a step. He applies science to EVERYTHING he says. There was no monkey see monkey do approach to dieting that he simply had read in a magazine somewhere like most “trainers” do. I constantly questioned him on every word that came out of his mouth (and still do). He has not only a scientific explanation for his approach but one that also has come to him through much research and trial & error in his own bodybuilding career. Clint knows this because he knows me; brother or not, I would never endorse anyone that I didn’t believe in completely. He is simply the best and most knowledgable trainer that I know….period. As a result, I quickly came to be in the best condition of my life. 40 something can be the new 20 something for you as well.
